新版《韋氏大學詞典》同時加強了許多熱門查詢字詞的內容，並新增超過2萬個用法例句。所有新增的詞彙此前都已收錄於韋氏線上版。同時，韋氏也刪除了部分冷僻及過時用語，例如enwheel（意為環繞、包圍）。
