Live and recent posts from across the Fediverse tagged #zerohr, aggregated by home.social.

  1. I have a great track record running essentially a consultancy #coop and scaling it to second-biggest independent FP consultancy in the world.

Perhaps I could join some #coop as an engineer + salesperson / project planner? I work like a machine: github.com/cognivore (note that this is with me doing sales for my startup, not just full time engineering).

If you want to have a look at the code of #ZeroHR to see if you are happy enough with my green squares, I we can have a call and I'll walk you through it.

  2. I think I've just bombed an interview where I've been expected to produce a data model for a famous toy problem and 3LoC / minute.

I have some options lined up, but I would like to get more into the pipeline. Can #FediHire hashtag help me find a #Rust engineer position? 👀

    P.S.
I can't reasonably toot it without plugging #ZeroHR.io for technical skill assessment. It's like in a different universe from normal hiring practices in IT.

  3. #Nix UX is such crap, it's unreal.

I love the tech, and the language is fun (funny), but it doesn't have to be like this.

    I wish I had money to self-fund R&D beyond my people's work on #ghc

I would totally invest into #purenix.

If you want to help me reach my goals of bettering the industry beyond what #Serokell is doing, please consider asking your executives to have a look at #ZeroHR for their tech skill assessment needs.

  7. Just as I had to got rid of #haskell tag (in favour of #lean), sadly, I feel like it's time to get rid of #elixir tag in my bio.

I'm doing a #rust rewrite of #ZeroHR backend now and while I'm not ruminating too much over the time and money spent on #elixir backend, I find it so much cheaper and faster to write in well-typed languages.

I really hope to become profitable so that I can have a look at #PureNix + #PureErl + #PureScript combo, but I think I'm years away from such a luxury.

  11. I can't stress enough how much @julienmalka has contributed to #Nix adoption in #ZeroHR.

    My gratitude is infinite.

  12. My plan for #CD refactoring for #ZeroHR:

github.com/numtide/system-mana — allows to configure non-NixOS systemd declaratively using Nix programming language.
github.com/serokell/deploy-rs — allows to do non-privileged deploys using #nix flakes. Works on non-NixOS linuxes via home-manager.
github.com/getsops/sops — for secret management capability, integratable with deploy-rs[1].

  13. We've extracted basic test #ZeroHR test tasks into separate repositories. This way individuals and companies can try out our work for #free (as in beer).

I will help up to 5 of those who hire #Rust or #Elixir developers make use of them without buying evaluations over at zerohr.io.

  14. Switched back to programming for January 31 release of #ZeroHR.

Exciting times ahead. We have all the tech, and now we're completeing the checklist for full automation and cross-integration.

If you need an automated test task for IT hiring or OKRs, we're your people. zerohr.io

  15. @yrashk btw, if you want omnigress to be featured in the first release of #zerohr, we can 100% include a test task for it. We're now in a process of making a basic test task that we'll port a lot, once we finalse the spec, we'll send it to you, s. t. you can port the skeleton of the task and then would be able to promote your framework...

  16. Going live with ambient sounds (outdoor cafe[1] + cyberboard typing[2]).

Main goal for today is adding a #doauth authentication to #duex (an #elixir file upload demo with upload capabilities as rich as Google Drive's, i.e. multi-file upload and *directory* upload!).

Secondary: start closing UX tickets related to accounting (as in AAA) from #megalith for #zerohr.
