  1. Every app, and more, should have a setting for "Send on Enter"
Even better if there is a system setting for this behaviour. That apps can follow like is done for dark/light theme.

And, of course, accompanied with a visual clue showiing what the input-field uses.

There is so much improvements to gain if more input settings and behaviours could be sett om system level, overrideable locally if needed of course.

Here :gnome: :kde: and more in can take the lead.

  2. #YesNo in the end. I wasn't sure right until the last minute, but I felt finally that yeeting the sexism wasn't worth allowing the Tories to write away a right.

Can we please take another shot at this, which extends a *right* of support to *all* carers?

  3. Out to vote on two referendums today here in Ireland 💚🤍🧡 Having grown up during a military dictatorship (no voting at all), then after 1984 🎉 a democracy where voting was obligatory (and still is in Brazil, a real "country of contrasts"), my feelings are mixed: a mix of grateful with thankful 😁😍 Let's vote, galera!!!!! independent.ie/irish-news/refe #YesNo #vote #referendum #referendum2024 #Ireland

  4. @ciaranmak Both my feminist and disabled friends are supporting a #YesNo.

It's a few hours before I go to vote yet, this is all very confusing.

  5. At 'Rabharta: The Party for Workers and Carers', after extensive debate which placed the voices of carers and people with disabilities at its centre, we've decided to support a Yes-No vote for the upcoming 2 referenda this Friday 8th March!

  6. My equivalent post on Twitter prompted a lot of impassioned and persuasive posts from people urging a #YesNo vote.

I feel I have to think on it more. A Constitutional referendum vote is important- too important for me to decide my vote based on impulse.

And being told you’re wrong by people who want to inform, not attack you, is a gift. I’m lucky to have people who would go to the trouble to explain why I might be wrong.

  7. Here’s Maeve O’Rourke’s essay on why she’ll be voting #YesNo in the referendums.

Firstly, know this: Maeve’s opinion carries a LOT of weight with me.

Secondly: The core problem I still have is that the jam today of a yes vote (getting rid of the women’s role in the home language) is proposed to be rejected for a dubious (at best) hope of jam tomorrow (another referendum)
