It's YearCompass time of the year again!
YearCompass is a wonderful 20-page tool to reflect on the past year and plan for the future one.
I've been using it since 2015 as a tool to do my end of year journaling.

Well, that was fun and interesting. I found out about the Yearcompass booklet and filled it out this evening.
A free PDF/print (couldn't see any catch -don't think there is one -no email address needed.) sort of questionary about my year 2024 and the coming 2025.Sort of goal setting. It worked well for me, but maybe I went all overboard with enthusiasm for my interests 🙂 .Though I do believe that is the way for me to be ready for the rest of life.

We're almost at the end of 2024 and the end of the year is a good moment to do some introspection and self-reflection.

Just about to start my #YearCompass for 2024. If you've never done one I can highly recommend it. I've done one every year for the last few years and find it very rewarding. Give it a try.

Since I never filled out the monthly spreads in my 2023 memory keeping #journal, I spent this morning using my #stationery to fill out January’s monthly spread with memories from each day. It was really nice to sit in gratitude for all the good that happened to me and all the difficult things that worked out. I think it will help me prepare to fill out my #YearCompass #journaling exercise later this month.

I tend to hate New Year's resolutions, planning & reflections.
It often feels like a big list of unmet goals + all the things I probably won't accomplish next year.
But this year I did #YearCompass with friends & it was... awesome?
Didn't set a single goal 👏 (eg I will create 3 new courses), but instead talked about things like "I will say no if" & "I will say yes when"
I encourage my #academia & #SciComm friends to check it out. We tend to be really hard on ourselves over goals.
