Ok, so with that, all included extensions in #XeroG have been updated to support #Gnome 45. My job here is done. Do not forget to run `update && extup` command and you'd be good to go. If you encounter any issues let me know either here or on Discord. Cheers.. #FOSS #Linux #OpenSource

One more extension updated for #Gnome 45 (#XeroG)... Run the "update && extup" command in terminal to update (in an hour or so from now) if you are on that Spin of #XeroLinux. #FOSS #Linux #OpenSource

Ok final update on the #Gnome 45 situation for today. If you are using #XeroG to get the latest extension updates not yet available on Extensions site, please run following command and reboot. `update && extup && reboot` done ! Have fun ! #FOSS #Linux #OpenSource

#XeroG the #Gnome (45) edition of #XeroLinux is almost done. Only missing 2 extensions which will be updated by devs soon. All major ones have been taken care of, you can build a new ISO as of now. #FOSS #Linux

Update !

If you are currently using #XeroG the #Gnome Edition you are kindly requested to remove Pop-Shell extension that hasn't seen any updates in ages and isn't compatible anymore, it will be replaced with one that is actively being maintained, which is called Forge. Run the following command to remove it.

sudo pacman -Rns gnome-shell-extension-pop-shell-git

I have paused the building of #XeroG for now until I have tested it for #Gnome 45.. Will be back soon ! Please exercise some patience.. #FOSS #Linux

If you build the #XeroG (#Gnome) edition of #XeroLinux and notice broken extensions please all I ask is for you to wait for them to get updated. Devs are hard at work on some. Others I do not know, for example Pop-Shell hasn't seen many commits since April. Might have to replace it with something else. #FOSS #Linux

Morning all

With upcoming release of #XeroG extensions will move from being system packages to user based. So I have put together a neat command that you will be able to run that will remove pkgs n replace with files which will be pushed come release day.

If you don't run it don't be surprised if and when packages stop being updated and extensions breaking, as we will remove them from repo. Release notes will be updated to cover that. #FOSS #Linux

You can finally build latest version #XeroG with #Gnome 44 and a bunch of cool new extensions and fresh new #Grub menu thanks to my good friend @TeddyBearKilla #FOSS #Linux #ArchLinux

Work on #XeroG is almost done. I have updated everything to work on latest #Gnome 44. For those of you who build it, I will be pushing latest code in an hour or so.. For ISO you will have to wait for release day on the 15th... #FOSS #Linux #ArchLinux

I have come to a realization, to keep all releases consistent I will be killing #Gnome software in #XeroG replacing it with #Pamac coz that thing is craptastic to say the least ... I tried to stick with it but it's so damn limiting it's no joke.. To those of you already on XeroG no need to do anything this is meant for new users .. Old users can remove it and install Pamac manually if need be. #Linux #FOSS

Since my last announcement, the #XeroG (Gnome Edition) ISO is now available to download to all who support the project either on #FundRazr or #Patreon (Silver Tier & Up). I also updated the site making it much easier. #Linux #Gnome https://xerolinux.xyz

Starting next week will make #XeroG available to all Patreon Tiers except lowest one. $8 and above will get you the ISO... Hopefully that will make it easier...

Some people keep asking me what's the benefit of building #XeroG over just grabbing ISO ? Well, building it will result in an up to date ISO vs pre-built where packages are over a month old having to update post install.. #Linux #xp
