    Got out on a ski trail for the first time this season today. Good times, with more people hopping on just as we got off. Tomorrow's air is forecast to be quite a bit colder, but it looks like 2026 will start with good opportunities for more. #xcski

    With that, the box is done except for finish. I'll put a couple coats of some polyurethane on it at some point, but I should turn my attention to some other things for a bit. The waxing equipment fits well inside, and it fits well in the corner below the skis. I'm happy with how it turned out.

    I'm not sure two hours of skiing at 6ºF was the wisest possible choice, but I couldn't resist it when the report said that one of the nicer long trails had just been groomed today.

    It was a great and wet time in the snow volunteering race comms for the Tour de Meisner XC ski race. No injuries, but we had many racers switch from the 30k race to the 17k due to the snow being so wet. #HIDARG #TourDeMeisner #xcski #racecomms #hamradio
