The new one (most of the pictures and the upper one in the photo with two), unlike the first one, does not have a hole between the frogโs leg and the lily pad, making it suitable for ANY dessert, even one with ice cream or sauces!
The first plate is great for cookies, slices of cake, or anything not runny.
Both are available for sale, individually or together as a matching set!

I began work on this on my birthday 2023, and after taking a week or so to finish it as greenware, took a whole year deciding how to glaze it. The day before my birthday 2024, I finally executed.
To me, cicadas are a symbol of transformation and entering a new phase of life, and this project covered a time of great change for me, covering pregnancy, birth, and the beginning of motherhood.
Iโm incredibly pleased with the result. Sounds hauntingly lovely despite only playing three notes. Iโll find a way to let yโall hear it soon.
