    I use it pretty much 90% of the time now, but it took me a while to be able to dictate to the computer without tripping up. That is so weird because I could talk to a human being ad nauseam without tripping up, but as soon as I started talking to the computer, I tripped over my words. The cool thing about #WisprFlow is that it fixes all of that. It doesn't give you a direct one-to-one transcription. It gives you what you were meaning to say.

  13. This weekend, my trial of #WisprFlow ended, and I got back on my system and decided I wanted to use it without Wispr Flow to see if I missed it. Exactly 12 minutes into a regular work session, I couldn't stand using it anymore, so I bought the pro version of Wispr Flow, which is actually really cheap anyway.

  18. I've been using #WisprFlow for the past two weeks, and it's a game-changer. The only thing I wonder about is whether users accidentally leave it engaged and it picks up a conversation in the room and pastes it somewhere unexpected. This has happened to me a few times where the cursor wasn't where I expected, and it pasted into the wrong place.

  23. While I really like #WisprFlow, the biggest issue I have with it is that in the #iOS version you have to grant permission to use the microphone every time.

    I need to figure out how to get around this, but otherwise it's an awesome product.

  28. I pretty much gave up on voice transcription years ago because:
    1. It was not very good and I had to mess with it and fiddle with it in order to make it work.
    2. I always mumbled and fumbled around trying to make a point, talking to a computer and having it transcribe me.

    For some reason I can talk to a real live person without any issues at all but when I am talking to a voice transcription service, I mess it up.

    #WisprFlow seems to have mailed this down.

    But somehow that got turned into me saying a casual hi to the #NakedGun himself Frank Drebin!

    And now the theme song is stuck in my head =D

    🎯 AI
    ===================

    Executive summary: Ruben Hassid documents a practical workflow that condenses a person's writing voice and stylistic patterns into one compact text file which, when supplied as persistent context, produces draft outputs that closely match the original author. The writeup describes tools, concrete steps, and subjective reactions.

    Technical details: The published method includes an extensive interview phase (≈100 questions) to elicit raw material; voice transcription using Wispr Flow to accelerate capture; an intermediate “20,000‑word dump” that is then compressed into a shorter markdown file; and storage of that file in a Cowork folder so the model reads it as fixed context on subsequent prompts. Named models and services referenced include Claude, ChatGPT, Gemini, Grok, Opus 4.7, and an "Extended thinking" mode. The author emphasizes context‑window and token‑cost concerns as a motivation to compress the profile.

    Analysis: The described pipeline demonstrates a repeatable way to convert longform personal artifacts into a compact persona artifact that LLMs can consume. Key tradeoffs reported in the source are fidelity versus size (full dumps are descriptive but costly), and the psychological effect of being reducible to a single file: the author reports surprise that the model can reproduce idiosyncrasies, and notes personal resistance to feeling "just a text file." The writeup also documents iterative verification: testing the compressed file in a blank session and then placing it in the model's designated folder to observe differences.

    Practical considerations (as reported): The article highlights token costs and context‑window limits as practical constraints, and references voice capture to speed the interview process. The source includes concrete file artifacts (a compressed md) and a folder‑based persistence approach (Cowork folder) as operational elements of the workflow.

    Limitations (as reported): The piece focuses on methodology and subjective reaction; it does not provide security, privacy, or policy recommendations. The writeup is anecdotal and centered on a single practitioner's experience rather than systematic evaluation.
