His eye is open in the photo.I guess I moved around too much while trying to line up a shot; he was quite soundly asleep when I started.
He was mad at me for a while because I force fed him again today after not doing it for a couple of days, but he seems to have forgiven me as he is stretched out as ridiculously long as he can be, across me as I lounge in the hammock.
Don't tell him, but he's probably going to get force fed again once more today because I need him to eat way more calories than he's voluntarily putting in his face.
He's had a rough month, but his breathing is much better now and he's learning how to navigate the world with no teeth.
I caught him trying to eat dry lemongrass. 😐

My buddy and I have been spending more time at the vet than either of us would like. And it's not over yet.
But he has lived twice as long as I was told he was going to when I took him in at 7 for eating the ridiculous amount of string that clogged his intestines.
He is my beloved expensive pussycat.

It is good to be grateful for the good things like fresh bread and the vet calling you to tell you his biopsy wasn't cancerous.
I have been stress-baking ALL the bread lately.
My beloved putty tat now has a cold, but he has a nice warm spot in the comfiest chair with 2 of my coats.

My little buddy is home from the vet in a state I can only describe as "drunk and hungry."
He wasn't allowed to eat since 10 last night and he is just coming out from the sedation and it is quite the combo.
He reminds me of babysitting some friends in my twenties.Maybe I should get him some hardboiled eggs and chili.

I celebrated Dress Your Pet Up Day with a simple red bow.
He's old and really seems to hate it these days. Also he sleeps a lot.
