Bounced off #WildBastards haaaaaard. Not sure what happened but the games opening hour is truly awful and from what I'm reading it doesn't get much better.
Real shame because I loved that first game, but it seems like they've taken the series on a significantly different direction than the one I was hoping for.
Oh well.

Taking a break from #ForzaHorizon4 as it's basically all I've played over the last two weeks. Had an absolute blast with it but I don't want to burn myself out.
So, I'm finally finding time to dive into #WildBastards. I really enjoyed the first game (Void Bastards) and whilst this isn't nearly as well reviewed, I'm hoping I can...find the fun.

Looking like the #WildBastards reviews are a little all over the place.
I was excited to grab this, but it seems like they've committed a similar mistake that #SteamWorldHeist2 did a few months back with not fully understanding what made the OG game so special to so many.
I'll still play it, but this will likely be a late year scramble-for-GOTY game or a 'Gonna grab this on sale' sort of game.
It does clean the slate a little though.

Preview: #WildBastards - An interesting gun-slinging roguelike that simply feels different than almost anything I've played in quite some time and a fair amount of strategy it seems

Wild Bastards: yeehaw! Sci-fi gunslinging outlaws with quite the production value.
There's some creative takes to the FTL-style branching path mechanic you see in many roguelikes here. The combat encounters are also very fun, almost Counterstrike-level tense shootouts.
Being able to switch between character loadouts on the fly adds a great strategic aspect to the combat as well. Overall: a really solid game here so far!
