So I started a new Satisfactory save on experimental 1.2 and I think I might need to see if my target goal is even possible. The goal is to deliver a certain number of parts to the space elevator.
In 1.2, they allowed you to adjust those deliverables, so for example I set it to be 10x the base number. 200 is now 2000.
To make this more fun, I'm wondering if it's possible to Save The Planet in a certain amount of time, such as deliver the necessary parts in 5 hours. This would be a huge logistical challenge, which is half the fun of Satisfactory anyways.
Turns out, I need a few hundred GW of power if I wanted to do this, which might not be possible. For my power plant alone, I would need over 10,000 oil/minute. I might need to get very creative with the alternate recipes.

Nothing to see here, just exploiting alien planet for its natural resources and saving the Earth and kittens.
I'm still somewhat in the middle of the game. Usual players would probably already be done with the game, I just can't get myself to fall for the calling of spaghetti megafactories and am instead building stuff for stuff like I would do in Sims or something. And I'm not even using any helper tools to plan the factories, just the codex, pen and paper and occasional calculator.

I love factory/automation games. Played the classics like #Factorio, #Satisfactory and #DysonSphereProgrogram, #OxygenNotIncluded each for more than 300 hours.
Every time I play a new game it has to compare to these classics.
So many games stumble over the basics of the genre the QoL features like bulk editing, blueprints, detailed production/power/resource stats.
Most of these games are decent but could be great with these features.
I want 300 hours of factory optimization happiness galore

Some #Satisfactory solo save nuclear power factory progress: My weirdly-arranged refineries for the Quickwire portion of the job are all placed and connected. Will this be the start and end of such wacky logistics experiments? Only time will tell.
Next up? Laying out the actual uranium processing line.

This week's progress report doesn't have much to cover, because I've just barely started on the nuclear power plant in my #Satisfactory save.

Lot of #GameDev / #IndieGameDev thought process here along with a good amount of technical stuff. All accompanied by a lot of animations. We now have full 3d proper clean spline based belts and a cool new factory planning mode. I go over the why and how of moving from #Factorio style belts of #Satisfactory style.

OMG. Still not sure I decided to do this, but it's done. No radiation but (a) the resource nodes, and (b) the stored uranium down at bottom right void that is slowly being turned into nuclear nobelisks.

Coming back to this, yesterday we had a lot of fun mostly attaching Nobelisks to unaware people and blowing stuff up and building a new base of operation in the forest biome (we started in the grass area) but then we discovered a new bug from the experimental branch: deleting trains, punctually the locomotive, will crash your game.
Seems like it's something added in the latest update (see here for another report ) so I advise all of you fellow FICSIT properties to be wary of deleting locomotives for the time being.

Got in some solo #Satisfactory progress this evening, continuing preparation for the nuclear power plant build. Tonight it was adding aluminum capacity to make more Heat Sinks, the final item I need to supply to get this build kicked off. So close!

Ich habe gerade den Server getestet und konnte von außen via GeForce Now darauf zugreifen 👍 Zur Sicherheit habe ich #zram aktiviert, um den Arbeitsspeicher zu komprimieren. Das soll die Performance verbessern, da der Server nur 8 GB RAM hat. 12 GB wären optimal.

Most fun day today, i get to redo the oil refinery, Meaning pipes!
I have unlocked most parts from the Ficsit shop and learned so much about building and deco the last two days, im already 8n love with my save and each thing add makes it so much more fun
This might also finally be the step to getting all the trucks from coal to gasoline, i already made one gas station so will have to make a few more one of the trucks routes is 98 coal of max 100 💀
