#weirdtwitter — Public Fediverse posts

It's pretty fascinating, actually, along with all the problems we're having with bad/lazy admin'd instances, I'm also seeing some real uniqueness beginning to appear in terms of instance culture.

I was lamenting that we have no #WeirdTwitter here, but #WeirdMastodon is coming along pretty nicely.

(this is mostly inspired by a few beige.party folks talking about their server, and then me noticing that yah, a lot of accounts I like come from there...)

I used to follow @dril when #twitter was still good and #weirdtwitter was a thing.
I even remember livereading the tweet when @dril said that while his avatar resembled Jack Nicholson, it was really him.
His potential takedown of the #Musk phenomenon in Musk's own house, on the platform he bought for $54 billion and now owns, is perhaps the coup de théâtre fėted by his birthright as the total anti-Musk

discovering Jimmer Cork-Bottle on Mastodon is so joyful. The soul of old twitter isn't dead after all, the life of #weirdtwitter is revived..the only thing that could top this is if @REGISL showed up here in full pyramid form

One thing I'm still getting used to on Mastodon: is this a good place for funny/silly content? How do you even find it?

I used to love #weirdtwitter and some of dril's and others had me crying for ten minutes at a time 😅 but it seems like 'discoverability' (gross word) works different here, for better and worse....
