Der Innenraum ist einfach unglaublich: Alles sieht wie neu aus. Kein Schalter ist blank gegriffen, auf den Sitzen waren offensichtlich von Anfang an Lammfell-Bezüge aufgespannt und selbst über den original MB Ripsmatten lagen noch graue Gummimatten. Der Himmel ist makellos und selbst die Stoffbespannung der Türtaschen, die normalerweise durch das Ein- und Aussteigen Spuren aufweist, ist in makellosem Zustand.

Ich muss verrückt sein: Ich habe ein Auto blind gekauft. Doch wer einen S124 300TE MOPF 1 in bornit mit ASD, Klima und Automatik in unverbasteltem Zustand sucht, muss schnell sein. Zugegeben: Er hat obenrum mehr Rost, als gedacht aber alle neuralgischen Stellen unten herum sehen gut aus. Nicht einmal die HA-Aufnahmen sind schlecht. Und bis auf die Bleche unter den Scheinwerfern kann ich keinen einzigen Steinschlag entdecken.

#W124 coupé #C124 was one of my favorite automobiles when owned. Effortless mile muncher at 80-100 mph (where permitted). Comfortable seats for 4 adults with their luggage. Excellent climate control. And of course, the amazing quirkery of the power rear windows, the seat belt advancers, and the front seat backs which unlocked automatically when the front door opened.
It was also reliable, inexpensive to service.
