@Rfm What I had in the back of my mind was the Facel Vega. This is not one of those. I believe it is a Talbot Lago T26 from the 1940-50s.

“Talbot is a dormant automobile marque introduced in 1902 by British-French company Clément-Talbot. The founders [were] Charles Chetwynd-Talbot, 20th Earl of Shrewsbury and Adolphe Clément-Bayard”.
It became the name of Chrysler UK under Peugeot ownership. -

Ladies and Gentlemen of the #WierdCar Fediiverse, just now I received a notification that @AgentSmith was here among us. He is a true pillar of the Weird Car community over on the 🐦 💩. I believe he still owns a #CitroënXM that he willfully drives over bumpy roads in the #Belfast area of No’rn Ir’n, as well as other vehicles. I have know him to perform surgery on a 500,000 mile #CitroënPicasso if I am not mistaken, to help out a fellow Weird Car aficionado.
He also likes #Volvo.

This is why I would never buy a used #BMW with the “Shadow Sport” package, including piano black details instead of chrome, and black wheel rims. They are driven too hard for any expectation of longevity.
Can you imagine being 17 and causing this wreck, and what your insurance costs might be going forward?! 😱
The owner of the 5 series is going to need a new car, costing thousands more than the insurance payout.

#W124 coupé #C124 was one of my favorite automobiles when owned. Effortless mile muncher at 80-100 mph (where permitted). Comfortable seats for 4 adults with their luggage. Excellent climate control. And of course, the amazing quirkery of the power rear windows, the seat belt advancers, and the front seat backs which unlocked automatically when the front door opened.
It was also reliable, inexpensive to service.

@DenOfEarth @Basmitharts I don’t know that I’d have a use for an Ami, although I applaud the concept, in the spirit of the ⛽️ powered Voiture Sans Permis (VSP) in France.
The Oli is an amazing concept. I’d love to try one of those out (it’s only a concept car for now, if I’m not mistaken).
As for Gattaca, I’m going to have to admit that I don’t know what that is… 😱
