The lessons are clear.
People are looking to get rid of FF-FG, and the left needs to give them a clear alternative.
We need commitments NOT to go into government with FF-FG, combined with clear left principles on housing, cost of living, climate, etc. to offer people a clear choice at the next election.
Ireland needs a left government that takes on the interests of those profiting off ordinary people's misery.

Ivana Bacik proposal to SocDems and Greens to come together to negotiate with FF/FG is simply an invitation to repeat the same old mistakes of Labour.
It would be a disaster. People want rid of FF/FG, not to prop them up.

We think other parties should make the same commitment that People Before Profit does - NEVER to prop up Fianna Fáil or Fine Gael in government.

We need a left government that takes on the interests of landlords, big business, and the billionaires, instead of the current one that rules in their interests!

Irish General Election is called #VoteLeftTransferLeft
We can't let the Boring Centrists win again. For those who aren't in Ireland we use what is known as ranked choice voting in other countries or what we call "Single transferable vote". It's an eminently democratic and sensible way of voting. Its complexity hides its inherent democratic significance. Coalition-based multi-party governments are the norm here which encourages reasonable debate and compromise.
