Very sad to hear the news of Mike Hodges’s death. Seeing Get Carter at the #TynesideCinema with Mike doing a Q&A and, particularly, reminiscing on chaperoning Michael Caine in early-70s #Newcastle remains a highlight of my time in the #NorthEast

Sometimes a film I've loved in the past doesn't quite hold up - but rather chuffed how much I still enjoyed The Thin Man (1934) this evening (must be 15+ years since I last saw it) - maybe loved it even more than before. Such an adorable cast. Nice to see it on the big screen too!
