I am working on a tool to be able to test out different #fret board configurations. Things like being able to move #frets around, number of #strings, #tunings, and hearing what it might sound like. Yes the #microtonal bug has bit. I'm toying with making a #24tet #cigarboxguitar.

#HarryPartch was an American #composer #musictheorist, and #creator of #unique #musical #instruments. He composed using scales of #unequal #intervals in just #intonation, & was one of the first 20th-century composers in the West to work systematically with #microtonal scales, alongside #LouHarrison, he built his own instruments in these #tunings on which to play his #compositions, & described the method behind his theory & practice in his book #GenesisofaMusic (1947).
