Since #trombones relate to everything, here’s a story.

Composer #DaveDeason observed his NASA engineer father's wind tunnel experiments and was amazed by the “incredible magic and power of the machines”. He thought about trombones.( As we all do. Or should. All the time. But I digress.)

Deason dedicated a wonderful piece to the Szeged Trombone Ensemble:

  6. Welcome to this instalment of The Hathersage Band Wonderful World Of Brass Instruments. This week it's the return of the #Mellophone but in a different guise to my first favourite. It has a conical bore like that of the #euphonium and #flugelhorn . This particular one was made by Carl Fischer in New York and is a "Symphony" model. It is in the key of F, but comes with crooks in the keys of C,D & E. So absolutely useless in a #BrassBand unless you can read Bass Clef with the big #Trombones
