Good evening from Thaxted. Clio and I have been watching another version of #DayOfTheTriffids - this time the film starring #HowardKeel. To my shame, I haven't read the book, so dont know how faithful this film is. It has a much more international feel, taking in many countries, while the resolution to the #Triffid problem was found here in England. I particularly liked that these two storylines ran in parallel, with the characters never meeting. You rarely have that in a film. Pax!

Trying to cultivate a little WFH indoor garden for peace and tranquility. Wife's friend asked if I wanted a plant. I came downstairs this morning and there is a triffid in my office.

This is mad! It’s annual ‘do battle with the giant Kiwi plant’ which grows over an arch in my large mountains side garden in the Cambrian Mountains. It’s not in a polytunnel, last year two fruits. There’s more up high where I cannot reach. #Triffid #Fruit #Gardening #Cymru
