  1. @mcr314 As I only play being a transportation engineer on the Internet I don't know. It also depends on what exactly a hub and spoke _is_. If every single trip has to go downtown first to get back out to the same suburb but in a different place, that's madness. I expect most systems are hybrid. Again I dunno. We have a kinda hub at Tunneys, but at Bayview, Baseline as well I suppose.

    I'd love to hear from an expert in the field!

  2. All the articles on "Induced demand" that I have seen so far (Apparently there is Induced traffic vs. Induced demand) are automobile-centric eg. even this recent CBC one cbc.ca/news/science/bike-lanes
    Seems pretty clear to me (Even if I am not a transportation engineer, I only play one on the Internets 😀) that it also applies to bus/LRT transit and bicycle lanes. Build them and people will use them. Something our mayor here in Ottawa (and our Premier) do not seem to understand.
