The #US military has depleted much of its inventory of advanced missile-defense interceptors after expending far more high-end munitions defending #Israel amid hostilities with #Iran than #Israeli forces used themselves, according to #Defense dept.
The numbers are striking," said Kelly Grieco, a senior fellow at the #Stimson Center. "The United States absorbed most of the missile defense mission while Israel conserved its own magazines. Even if the operational logic was sound, the United States is left with roughly 200 #THAAD interceptors and a production line that can't keep pace with demand."
If hostilities resume against Iran and Lebanon, the U.S. military will expend an even greater share, because of a decision by the Israeli military to take some of its missile defense batteries offline and let American taxpayers shoulder the cost of defending Israel for invading and attempting to colonize #Lebanon and doing a genocide in #Gaza.

Let’s talk about what it means that the #US has sent virtually all of its #THAAD interceptor missiles and #Patriot missiles to the Middle East.
Besides obvious short term issues, like once #Iran gets the US to use all its interceptors, then what? But the bigger issue is #China and #Russia and possibly North #Korea.
China wants #Taiwan. We need rare earth metals to make our sophisticated weapons. Guess who owns the territory where most rare earth stuff comes from? China. Guess who’s not fond of the US currently and has no reason to advance US weapons development?
China is preparing military to invade Taiwan. They have doubled inventory of ballistic-missile launchers and almost tripled the number of missiles available since 2020.

The Wall Street Journal has reported that the United States is strengthening its air defense systems in the Middle East to protect Israel, Arab allies, and American forces from Tehran's retaliatory response before any possible attack on Iran.
According to this report, US officials have said that "the US military could conduct limited airstrikes against Iran if the president orders an attack today", but at the same time warned that "the type of decisive attack that Trump has asked the military to prepare is likely to provoke a proportionate response from Iran, and therefore the US needs strong air defenses to protect Israel and US forces."
The Pentagon has deployed additional THAAD and Patriot batteries at bases in #Jordan, #Kuwait, #Bahrain, #SaudiArabia and #Qatar.
