A few things I like about Monster of the Week so far:

1. Locations have motivations (helps clarify for the Keeper their utility)

2. Monsters have weaknesses that must be triggered before they can be defeated (helps structure the challenge)

3. Monsters have minions who are sometimes more active and/or nefarious than the monsters themselves (gives dynamism and variation to the mysteries)
