I wonder how many actual keyboard keys were at #SynthFest this weekend? I mean I lay my hands on at least 10 61 key keyboards alone, so I'm gonna estimate somewhere in the region of 50,000 keys across everything. That's probably not even close.

One thing I liked was the way when you pressed a pad on the touch grid... it highlighted other pads that are harmonically related (octaves) .. This seemed a good UX design! #synthfest

I had a go on the new ableton push standalone.
I don't know anything about ableton, but I was interested in the MPE capabilities.

So the demonstrator loaded a MPE patch and I foodled on the touch grid thing.

It was kind of ok. getting the right amount of pressure was a learning experience.
I think this kind of thing would be better if was some kind of complete large interface, rather than 64 individual pads,, but that is probably something that the tech does not allow yet. #synthfest

I had a go on the Haken Continuum mini also.. which was also fun and interesting but felt more like a prototype than a thing.. and not sure I would put a £1000 on it
