Another essential equipment post: the Edirol R-09HR (with windscreen)
Great for recording interesting sounds in the world most of which end up in my tracks. And I also have lots of recordings of me saying "Fuck sake!" when I get my recorder going and the interesting sound I'm trying to record suddenly stops. Also good for capturing live performances/jams/malfunctions.
