@evalhaik Die #Piratenpartei ist dafür: https://www.piratenpartei.de/2024/08/12/piratenpartei-unterstuetzt-die-eu-weite-buergerinitiative-stop-killing-games in kurz, Spiele sollen spielbar bleiben, es gibt keine guten Argumente dagegen und außerdem ist die Initiative kein konkreter Gesetzesvorschlag, es besteht also kaum eine Chance dass die Kommission über das Ziel hinausschießt. There is an initiative asking the EU to regulate or at least clarify video games being made inaccessible remotely by publishers.
The initiative is on an official channel provided by the EU itself, if it reaches one million signatures the European Commission will have to look into the matter and provide a response, there is still a month until 31 July.
