Yesterday, I posted a description of (and link to, to prevent @kenwhite.bsky.social from getting stabby) Justice William G. Young's remarkable ruling in the case regarding the US maladministration's efforts to curb-stomp the first amendment, at least as it applies to non-citizens.

In any case, Judge Young, a spry 85 years young, is hitting three times as hard as the New York Times, CNN, and the Washington Post combined - with one hand tied behind his back, because he has to observe the necessities of writing while in his post within the judicial branch. He has earned a place in the honour rolls with this ruling, if he hadn't already done so before.

After a lot of researching and thinking, I finally started coding reaction's (upcoming) plugin system!

It will permit to write custom stream, filter and action logic, in Rust.

It'll make use of stabby, a crate easing the definition of a stable ABI in Rust, thus permitting reaction and its plugins to be compiled separately, at different times.

There's a new breed of SEO pests that send press releases offering slightly plausible research and ALWAYS asking for a backlink. They use different domains for almost every pitch. My Spam filter is quite good at picking them up but the volume is rising and making me #stabby

It's 2024 and my credit card provider is so rubbish that transactions from dec 24 are still marked as 'Pending'. You'd think with three business days since then they'd be able to sort that. #stabby
