One of my very 1st macro photos was an iPhone photo of a purple crocus emerging from last year's leaf litter in my friend's garden. I decided the photo was nice enough to put up on my wall.
Every year since I head over to my friend's place to photograph his crocuses. It's a bit of a ritual & symbol of spring for me now & I find the new life emerging from last year's death to be very comforting.

The crocuses in my friend's garden were well established before he bought the house a decade ago. They pop up everywhere and he has encouraged them to do so. It's still early and he already has some lovely patches and carpets around the yard.

Sooo (🙄) when my friend's crocuses start a'poppin', I'm there with camera in hand to document. Thus creating a large number of crocus flower photos that I will now share in this thread.
