Welp, I learned my lesson that 'backup to #YouTube' isn't backup... lmao. My YT channel is literally just gameplay videos, one of em today was flagged as 'against their policy', and my channel was given a warning - which was relatively harmless (no implications).
I was given the choice to appeal tho, so I did - and what I said was essentially, "I'm sorry, I didn't know they have such policy and the gameplay was uploaded as private anyway, and I'm fine if it has to be removed", I was only uploading these gameplay recordings privately as backups/archives after all.
Aaaanyway, soon after they rejected my appeal, and then prolly discover in their review that there are literally other gameplay videos on my channel that were against their policy as well, soooo they removed my channel entirely 🤠 Again, idrc for my channel, since these full gameplay recordings and clips are mostly private anyway - but welp I just lost all of my vids in one swoop, within a couple of hours.
That includes my ongoing #Spirittea and #TOTK gameplay, my preeeecious #NierAutomata and #NierReplicant recordings, my #StardewValley gameplay spanning years and years and years, etc. Freaking RIP. -
#Spirittea feature/dev ideas:
- I love the simplicity of your (on-person) inventory being only your backpack, but it makes getting things (i.e. tools) in and out pretty hard. Sell a ‘fanny pack’ (lol) at the shop that gives you your typical hot/toolbar you could easily cycle through.
- While the towels stacking up in an almost infinite tower at the entrance of the onsen makes for some funny visuals, maybe set a maximum number of towels in a stack, visually (e.g. it doesn’t go higher than 5 towels), and add a visual HUD/hint that’s always on - above the towels indicating how many there are.
- Placing spirits in their bath is a big (tedious) part of running the onsen, and I understand it’s a challenge to implement a staff role/task for that, for staffs to undertake on their own - but I think it’s possible by making that staff ‘work together’ with the MC. For example, since the MC is only able to hold one spirit’s towel at a time, if there are more than one spirit waiting to be ‘seated’, make it so that the staff of this new role could hold the rest of the spirits’ towels, where they’d follow you and hand the towels to you, one by one, as you’re placing each spirit in their bath. That’d still allow the MC to be the one deciding where to place each spirit, while still offloading a huge burden of going back n forth. -

Well, I guess even with the lack of internet - it’s not changing our night routine at all haha. We’ll be playing some #Spirittea on our #SteamDeck, then end the night with watching stuffs on our #Jellyfin server (currently “The Bear” and “Apocalypse Hotel”).

My wife and I have been drawn to #Spirittea when we first saw it on #Steam - purely bcos of its concept of running a bathhouse, and for its beautiful pixel art style (a la #Mother/#EarthBound).
We finally got it after the recent Summer sale (not even during the sale lol), while it was on discount. Anyway, this game has been AMAZING and freaking addicting - I thought it'd get boring pretty quickly, as often happens with these indie games (unless ure as lucky and great as #StardewValley), but nope. ~10 hours in and it's still incredibly fun, thanks to its unique mechanics and really creative, well-written quests.
Also, if you're playing on the #SteamDeck, there's a really cool easter egg by one of the spirit you encounter pretty early on in the game :3 -

Spirittea developers dropped a new update, they’ve fixed their fishing mini-game! It’s a lot better than the initial system they’ve had in place. Of course, I’m at work and cannot try it just yet. 😩

Happy SpiritTea 1.03 update for all that celebrate. I can confirm that fishing is easier. Don't know if the infinite building bug still exists (right side of bath house never completes sometimes).
Yayyyy! This game has so many layers, and I'm still enjoying it 30 hours later.

Another day of work in #Spirittea. Right in the morning I saw Miko and Amelia, they're the only two old ladies in the town and are great friends, they seem to be friends since childhood! I hope I get to this age with good friends.

Today #spirittea was released! I was really looking forward to playing this game since I first heard of it, I played the demo and just loved it! For those who don't know, Spirittea can be described as Stardew Valley but you have to manage a bathhouse for spirits, but there is much more!
I played it for a couple of hours today and I want to share some things to create a desire to play the game in all of you, I'll try to do more posts as I advance in the game.
It is available on PC (#steam), Xbox (including #GamePass), and Nintendo Switch!

Oh that was a nice showcase. Spirittea (image) goes on to my future wish list, along with Mineko's Night Market (often promised, still waiting for a date). Europa goes on my "please port" wish list.
