I’m not as curious about all the features of my tech like I was as a teen. That’s bad on me. I have had an article saved in “read later” about HDMI ARC for months and months and finally sat down to see if my TV supported it.
Turned out, YES! For the non-Siracusas out there (apologies, John) this feature enables whatever is played from the TV audio, like antenna, video games, DVD player to route back into the Apple TV (among other things I assume) and then have all that audio play through my big OG HomePods pair.
Zelda #TOTK sounds AMAZING. So will my over-the-air football games this fall!

Apparently I beat #TOTK for the first time on the 40th anniversary of Zelda? How fitting! Now… I will just constantly be thinking about manifesting that secret jingle in AR or via IoT nonsense.

Fun fact: I've replayed #BoTW on #Switch2 for the Nth time a while back and I don't recall a wow-factor about hi-def stuff. Although I've also played it on #NintendoSwitch with the 4k upscaler thing (the Switch specific device, forgot the name). Yet to replay #TOTK in hi-def. I keep postponing it, as the darned thing is too large. In comparison; I can unlock the Wild map in a single sitting,

I finished a #BOTW last evening after not playing it for several years. Now I’m playing #TOTK for the hundredth time.
One of my favorite things is how some of the NPCs have changed careers by getting involved in restoring Hyrule.
Toren and Flaxel of the Monster-Control Crew were just kind of bumming around in BOTW.
Traysi, the editor of The Lucky Clover Gazette is no longer a “blogger” trading in rumors, but has started a newspaper.

The week of Christmas I started playing #BOTW again for the first time since #TOTK was released.
I REALLY miss my two-fan hover bike! Don’t like having to buy arrows so often. There’s a lot more arrows in wood boxes and otherwise available for gathering in TOTK. Guardians aren’t so scary once you’ve been grabbed by gloom hands.
Master Sword is kind of weak in BOTW and I’m unwilling to do the trials again. Nope.

Replaying TotK, got to the surface, found a chasm, said screw it, jumped in, forgot I didn't have a paraglider until I died hitting the bottom, LOL

I've amassed quite the #Nintendo #Switch library over the years, but I'm still as reluctant as ever to play any game on it all bcos of the inability to export and backup my save files lol. It's fine when we're talking about games like #MarioKart, #SwitchSports or wtv, but my favourite games like #TheLegendOfZelda #BOTW or #TOTK... It feels almost stupid to play them and not have the guarantee that my save file will be w me forever.
Same with #AnimalCrossing too, what's the point of decorating ur island and shit like that, knowing evetg could be gone very easily since you've no option to back them up. I could resort to #emulation, but ever since #Yuzu died, I no longer really keep up with #NintendoSwitch emulation no more. Depending on the game, the experience may not be as perfect too compared to running the game natively. This might only be an issue with primarily #Steam/PC gamers who are used to having both free cloud saves/backups and the ability to easily backup save files/configs locally too. -
