Thread for my #music bits!
Probably some #SpaceSongSunday episodes, some "shell scripts for the soul", some things in mazlaani (my invented language), & other originals/covers/adaptations.

Kicking off with a new-ish demo... I've rewritten "Charmed Life" a few times, on romance/burnout/etc., and today's iteration ("STRANGER") is def my favorite :)

Also: finally fixed my mic placement!!! Audible vocals and non-muddy #guitar FTW! ✨

Gonna do these live in a sec for a *quick* #SpaceSongSunday – ft. the octave mandolin :)

On IG for now, for technical reasons, but recording will go on #MakerTube ✨

Haven't been doing #SpaceSongSunday recently, because I wrote TWO songs with lots of F & F minor chords and it cramps up my hand something fierce! Trying to get some good recordings... for now, here's a rough one of "Hell for Leather" – an anthem to chaos. :3

(The drawing is for something else [wink], but it fits pretty well IMO)

Oh, and here's that page with upcoming events (and an overview of the various livestreams I do – #HacksterCafe, #DayGlowShow, #HackOClock, and #SpaceSongSunday): https://www.notion.so/alexglow/Live-shows-events-2785bc4fe79880509c57fc1872e76ed1

New #SpaceSongSunday, in honor of Tom Lehrer (take a wild guess) 💙 https://youtu.be/EcqrAfSVyC8

(Now a YouTube link, with fully edited subtitles and links to my chaotic performance notes + the Wikipedia article with the table of stars!)

It's a bit of a mess! But that's the joy of it. ✨

@radiofreefedi Had a BEAUTIFUL time playing for y'all! What an audience – many thanks to all who joined, shared, & requested. Favorite moment: breaking down laughing in the middle of the Red Dwarf megamix 😆

Just scrolled back through and realized I'd missed a request for "Russian Satellite" by Mighty Sparrow! An amazing tune about Laika, the unfortunate space dog. Will have to do that again soon: https://youtu.be/PSZOLAoOskk

Working on bringing future #SpaceSongSunday sessions to Fedi! 🤘💙✨

Lovely Space Song Sun erm Wednesday set by @alexglow RIGHT NOW at https://party.radiofreefedi.net/

#RFFF25 #SpaceSongSunday

Looking forward to doing #SpaceSongSunday on a Wednesday as part of @radiofreefedi #RFFF25 ! July 16 at 2000 UTC (1pm Pacific / 4pm Eastern): https://party.radiofreefedi.net

I've finally fixed https://www.spacesongsunday.com to point to the series' home, with lyrics and chords for most of the stuff I play. LMK if you have a fave on there and I'll include it in the set ^_^

Lots of other cool stuff happening during the Fest as well! 🤘🪐✨

Made some replacement string pins for my guitar with #Onshape and #3DPrinting ! https://glow-ahead.ghost.io/replacement-guitar-string-pins/#/portal/

About to go live with another #SpaceSongSunday, where we shall see if they immediately break and lash me with steel fury. (glowascii on IG / https://bit.ly/spacesongsunday)

Gonna start up #SpaceSongSunday again this weekend 💙🪐✨ https://www.instagram.com/glowascii

Live songs about space—covers & originals & rewrites—with requests taken! See most of my repertoire (plus many chords/lyrics & liner notes) here: https://bit.ly/spacesongsunday

Got a fave that would (probably) work with voice and guitar / mandolin / uke / Pocket Operator? I've mostly made it through the requests queue. :D

New #SpaceSongSunday ~ Now & then, I go on IG Live and play songs (covers, originals, altered lyrics) about #space :)

This week: my new mashup of Rocket Man + Nobody Home; my arrangement of the Nikita Gill poem "93% Stardust"; warm & #cozy songs for resilience (including one from #LotR)... and more ✨
