#sotmeu23 — Public Fediverse posts

@mvexel There is a presentation at #sotmeu23 about #Panoramax which gives a good overview https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Vh87F5Zie6k

Last year at #sotmeu23 It was really nice how people were customizing their name badges to say more details about themselves, languages they spoke, country they were from, etc...
Makes it so much easier to talk to people and know WHO someone is when you've never seen their face before.
So for #FOSDEM I figured it'd make one beforehand.
I encourage others to make something like this as well, even if it's hand drawn or something. (recommend laminating it, taping it or something, though)

Does #OpenStreetMap need to put limits on the edits new mappers can do? Roland Olbricht - just re-elected to the OSMF board - talked about it at State of the Map Europe. Rewatch the video here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zeSYgo07H1E

A talk about an open source street level imagery project, using the principles of federation? No wonder @cquest 's talk about Panoramax won the pop-poll of best talk during #sotmeu23 #OpenStreetMap
The video is online now at https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Vh87F5Zie6k

Oops, I was on the wrong hashtag. Use #sotmeu, forget #sotmeu23 and definitely don't worry about #SotMEU2023.

@sotmeu THERE ARE STILL BEDS AVAILABLE, if someone needs a place to stay for @sotmeu #SotMEU23 : book a bed in the mixed dorms at YUST in Antwerp, and dm me with your full name. I'll let YUST know that they can put all of us in the same dorm room

@zverik Thanks so much for your input, all is being forwarded to our SMT-team 🤝

Glad to hear we'll be meeting you in November :) #SOTMEU23

Decided to sign up to volunteer for @sotmeu
Never really done any kind of volunteering like that... Only slightly anxious about it XD
Hopefully, I can be useful and not be too awkward.
