I haven't watched it all through just now, but I recall some kids finding amenity=brothel as a preset in the MapZen editor and tagging each other's houses.
Aside: I never understood why CloudMade invested resources in an editor, rather than just supporting Potlatch. More why Randy Hale used the same name for his Samsung-supported startup a few years later.

I’m kinda interested in making a poster for this year’s #SotM, but I have very few ideas on what to make.

@zverik @amapanda Indeed, it's also why I gave a talk about making explicit data which is only implicit in #OpenStreetMap at #SotM-EU! Although I focused on geographies rather than 'ontologies', the notion applies to both.
In the UK, Greggs was problematic for a long time, but the firm kindly resolved the situation by adopting a clear fast food strategy. So I think historically the UK situation was similar to that described by @richlv in Latvia.

@openstreetmap has opened the venue bid process for State of the Map 2027. If your local mapping community has wanted to host, the early window is open. Bidders who move first get the most flexibility on dates.
Bids close 19 July 2026. The 2027 venue will be announced at SotM 2026 in Paris.
