My #knitting project for any online conference I have to be part of ... With a look on my calender, they'll be finished by the weekend at the latest.

6th train ride in 12 days, a total of nearly 20 hours, about 2,400 km traveled.

One sock finished.

I wasn't that motivated to knit, obviously.

I had high hopes for this #sockknitting project. I started it with about 22 h ouf train rides in the immediate future. But then life happend: tired, talking with fellow travelers, making plans for the stay underway, too tired at night, slightly sick on the final (and longest) leg of the journey.

But I love the colors - they make me happy, so everthing's good

Whenever I travel I try to pick up a ball of (sock) yarn as a memory for the holiday. I might buy a local yarn (if that's possible). Or try to shop at a exceptionally nice store. Or search for colors that remind me of where I was.

Or I just ask my SO what colors he would like to have socks. They are usually very colorful.

Are others also buying souvenir yarn?

There's a lot of traveling going on this week, a series of multi hour train rides. A mindless knitting project is essential for those times.

So socks it is. I picked up this ball in a supermarket yesterday on a whim - as if I don't have a ton on sock yarn sitting around the house ...

Uncomfortably fine needles, plus a cable (sock) needle - training clumsiness out of the hands.
A swatch for a (more complex) sock in the round, with good quality yarn this time.
