    Would that #SFMTA, #MayorLurie and the #SFBOS paid attention to information like this and moved to develop an integrated plan.

    What we have is BOS Resolution ( and I appreciate the efforts of #SupervisorMelgar to get it passed) - but I fear the Mayor and SFMTA management don't really get it.

    The board meeting is in recess until 3pm, so just a few minutes until it is supposed to start up again. My guess is arrests of the #labor activists will happen before.

    As someone who used to loosely follow #sfpol, how does the election shift power between progressives and moderates on the #SFBOS (assuming current results hold up)? Dean Preston losing to Bilal Mahmood would obviously be a win for the #yimby crowd, but I'm less sure about everything else.

    I am happy that the San Francisco Board of Supervisors passed a resolution calling for a ceasefire in Gaza today. Regretfully, my own District 6 Supervisor voted against it, but it's OK since the final vote was 8 to 3.

    The 11-member #SanFrancisco Board of Supervisors currently includes three openly #gay members, all cis white men and all moderates (by SF standards). Manny's is hosting a talk with them tonight and billing it as "The San Francisco Power Gays" which is sadly or humorously fitting depending on your perspective.

    Cindy Elias is up for reappointment to the San Francisco Police Commission in a vote today by the Board of Supervisors.

    Elias has served on the commission since 2018, but her colleagues recent vote for her to serve as the body’s president was not received favorably by the Mayor’s Office.

    The result of today's #election for President of the #SanFrancisco Board of Supervisors is nuts. I've lived in Aaron Peskin's district for 20 years, since before the first time he lead the board. And now, despite not even being in the running until after today's voting had already begun, he's leading it again.

    I wish him well, but again, this process is nuts.
