You know what irks me? When bigots try to misrepresent their bigotry and hate speech as "disagreement". As if it's a philosophical difference of opinion instead of a bigoted trope that is held without reason and defended against all reason.
Meanwhile, their hate speech meets an objective test. Specifically, the legal definition provided by the Supreme Court of Canada in R v. Keegstra and Saskatchewan v. Whatcott. They definitely meet these standards as they call to vilify transgender people and advocate for our mistreatment.
Hate speech is not free speech. It is the antithesis of free speech as it seeks to chill free speech by chilling the voices of those targeted.

SCC ist nicht gleich SCC. Weil ich darüber kürzlich selbst fast wieder drüber gestolpert wäre, ein kleiner Blog-Artikel vor allem für diejenigen, die noch nicht seit Jahren im Datenschutz unterwegs sind.

Drogen- und Lärm Konzept// drugs and noise concept
Das SCC ist nicht nur ein Raum zum Lernen, Austauschen, Vernetzen und Spaß haben. Das Camp wird auch für ein paar Tage das Zuhause von ein paar Hundert Menschen. Damit das Zusammenleben für alle angenehm sein kann, möchten wir alle Teilnehmenden bitten, auf die Grenzen der Menschen um sie herum zu achten. Damit das für alle einfacher wird, gibt es auf dem Camp ein Drogen- und Lärmkonzept.
Drogen
Uns ist bewusst, dass Menschen unterschiedliche Beziehungen zu Substanzen wie Alkohol, Tabak und anderen Drogen haben – und wir möchten diesen Unterschieden auf dem Camp Raum geben.
Dafür wollen wir bestimmte Bereiche festlegen, in denen Alkohol, Tabak und andere Drogen konsumiert werden können. Diese Bereiche sind in der Nähe vom Kiosk, in der Nähe vom Crêpe Stand und in bestimmten Schlafbereichen u.
Aus Achtsamkeit gegenüber Menschen, die nicht mit Drogenkonsum konfrontiert werden wollen, möchten wir den restlichen Teil des Camps gerne drogenfrei halten. Diese drogenfreien Räume gelten während des gesamten Camps – auch während der Partynacht.
Lärm
Auch beim Thema Lautstärke möchten wir verschiedenen Bedürfnissen gerecht werden und eine Balance zwischen Feiern und Erholung finden. An den meisten Abenden enden Konzerte und lautere Aktivitäten gegen 22 Uhr. Am Samstag planen wir eine Party mit Musik bis 2 Uhr.
Für Menschen, die mehr Ruhe brauchen, wird es ruhige Schlafbereiche geben, die weit entfernt von den lauten Zelten liegen. Diese Bereiche werden deutlich ausgeschildert sein, und wir bitten alle, sie insbesondere nachts wirklich leise zu halten.
Außerdem wird es eine Bettenbörse geben, bei der du Schlafplätze in Wohnungen in Frankfurt finden kannst, falls du besondere Schlafbedürfnisse hast. Diese kannst du unter folgender Mail erreichen: [email protected].

Please take a coronavirus test before arriving. We also have tests available in the medical tent.
If you become ill, isolate yourself (get tested, inform your contacts).
Do you have vomiting, fever, or diarrhea? Then please do not travel to the camp.
If you become ill at the camp, you can ask the Sanis (medical group on the camp) or read the concept to find out what to do.
Take care of each other!
Follow coughing and sneezing etiquette (elbow, turn away).
Wash/disinfect your hands frequently! ( https://www.system-change-camp.org/en/camp-life/hygiene/ )
We recommend wearing FFP2 masks indoors and in large crowds.
In the event of increased infection rates, masks are mandatory in defined locations.
Keep communal tents open as much as possible and ventilate regularly!
Be considerate of people in tents who need everyone to wear masks. -

Am Donnerstag den 14.08. treffen wir uns ab 9 Uhr im Süden des Grüneburgparks. Dort laden wir gemeinsam die ersten LKWs aus, wofür wir viele Hände brauchen:)
Um 14:00 gibt es dann das erste Aufbauplenum, an dem Aufgaben verteilt werden.

“Auf den Landwirtschafts- und Ernährungstagen können sich Menschen mit unterschiedlichen Hintergründen und mit unterschiedlichen Vorstellungen und Kenntnissen gemeinsam mit anderen über eine Landwirtschaft und ein Ernährungssystem auszutauschen, wie wir es uns wünschen.Hierzu gibt es von Montag bis Mittwoch für drei Tage ein spezielles Zelt als Ort für Workshops, Vorträge, Vernetzung und persönlichen Austausch. In den folgenden Tagen gibt es weitere Veranstaltungen zu dem Thema. Wir wollen über unsere Kämpfe, Strategien und Utopien reden und Alternativen zum gegenwärtigen kapitalistischen und neokolonialen Ernährungssystem entwickeln.
Wir möchten sowohl das hiesige wie auch das globale Ernährungssystem besser verstehen. Das Lernen aus vergangenen Kämpfen ist dabei für dieses Jahr ein Schwerpunkt.”

Back in 2018, Beaver Lake Cree filed for an #AdvancedCostOrder - #ACO - to secure funds from #Alberta and #Canada in order to continue accessing #justice for their #TreatyRights case, a case which will protect their people and territory from further expansion of the Alberta #TarSands and other #ResourceExtraction industries if successful. But, the cost of litigation for a case this momentous was more than the #FirstNation could front. That’s where the ACO comes in.
After six years, and reaching the #SupremeCourt of Canada ( #SCC ) — #BeaverLakeCree Nation will now receive $1.5 million annually from Alberta to continue their Treaty rights case!
The decision for a yearly contribution is a welcome relief, allowing the Beaver Lake #Cree Nation to move their case forwards while managing costs across their community needs.
