  5. I am only halfway looking forward to a challenge I have set for myself. I am gonna use #scummvm to play #maniacmansion and see if I can beat it in 4 hours, similar to some Adventure Game Aptitude Test thing designed by some developer I have never heard of: Woe Industries.

    I don't have a setup to ensure compliance in terms of cheating, but if I don't complete it, I'll upload a screenshot of where I got. Hopefully I can solve this #pointandclickadventuregame and be like one of the two individuals who beat that supposed AGAT thing.

    If I beat it, I'll show a screenshot, assuming I can pause my timer without resetting it. Regardless, going in blind and I doubt I can do it because point and click adventure games were a quickly dying genre when I was growing up.

  20. To this day, the original "Maniac Mansion" remains to be one of the coolest games in my entire DOS collection! Not the fancy, "enhanced" version from 1989, everyone knows, but the classic release from early 1988. It looked very much like the C64 version, but for IBM-PC. This was sold on a single, 360K 5.25inch floppy disk. If you're into retro stuff, you should definitely check this out!

Definitely added tension to the scene.
