@waterlooregion another area which was deforested within the past couple of years. This was old-growth forest which was home to lots of birds and mammals. It used to buffer a residential section from a gas plant. The wood wasn't even used for anything. All those huge trees were put through wood chippers. Both of these areas were heavily treed until within the past month or so. Why is Kitchener condoning all this deforestation? Have the Haudenosaunee been consulted? Someone stole the purple “This is Indian Land” sign from my garden. It’s the second time this has happened. I live on the Haldimand Tract, land of the Anishinaabeg, Haudenosaunee, and Neutral Peoples.
