The ancient #Buddhist site of #Sarnath has been added to the #UNESCO #WorldHeritage List, becoming #India’s 45th World Heritage Site.
Sarnath is traditionally regarded as the place where the #Buddha gave his first teaching after attaining #awakening, setting the "Wheel of #Dharma in motion" and marking the beginning of the Buddhist #Sangha.
