when it comes to the #Netherlands, I feel its a bit more nuanced.
Traditionally we didn't do the whole #Kerstman (#Santa / #Christmas Man) thing with presents. Christmas was just the religious holiday where no gifts were involved, and you'd just get together with your family for dinner or similar.
Instead we had/have #SaintNicholas aka #Sinterklaas, which primarily was celebrated with presents on the 5th/6th of December.
