Why is Peadar Tóibín lying about the Bill he voted against last night?
He’s trying to make people think that it would allow abortion for any reason up until birth - when it wouldn't. This is to cover for the fact that he opposes abortion in any circumstances - even in cases of rape or fatal foetal abnormality.

What we achieved in terms of #marriageequality and #repealedthe8th I don't think would he possible now. Not the live tweeting of people sharing thier stories or being able to have people connect & form groups, or have journalists connect with orgs/groups/people. It was deliberately destroyed.

I remember doing the tally in citywest for the #RepealedThe8th campaign and it became blatantly obvious which way the gale was going to blow that day after tallying 1/4 of a box. Suspect the same wind will be blowing today.

Just got a leaflet through the letter box from #Aontu. This is the party founded bybthe fundamentalist christian who left #SinnFein in a huff because they supported the #RepealedThe8th referendum.
Anyway it's all normal right-wing guff complaining about a right-wing government not doing thing in a sufficiently right-wing way. Up to the last two topics where they go all out with the #Fascist dog-whistles.
They'll get a vote for me this ywar alright. Right down at the very bottom of the ballot!

@taraflynnirl Remember well the almost visceral shock felt in the country (and esp felt by our Repeal opponents) when you and others started talking openly in Irish media about your own personal stories. You all broke new historical ground there re the lived reality of the 8th. Thanks to your bravery, it had an enormous impact on public perception of Repeal.
