If we ever again elect a male president, I hope that he too might create a new precedent, by wearing something other than the standard male formal attire of a dark suit. Maybe a #shalwarkameez, or a #kilt, or #shorts.

But please, not like #ReggieBlackrockRoad, who seems to have lost his trousers. No #PresidentsInYfronts please 🙄

@maddler Absolutely! Even the basic electoral task of getting bodies on the ground to knock doors was a fail for them.

I followed the #FineGael machine closely on Facebook, and from town after town FG was publishing photos of only 4–8 canvassers. But the #CatherineConnolly campaign was posting photos of teams of dozens of #Aras25 #Aras2025 canvassers.

That's before we consider the intellectual tasks which they also failed.

The electoral inertia which kept them in power is draining away

Now we wait for the result of the vote for the next Uachtarán na hÉireann 🤞🏻

Of the two candidates standing it has to be Catherine Connolly to take over from Micky D!

The best bit of the #SundayTimes report is that Humphreys will shift to a “forward-focused” message “of explaining what her vision is for the presidency”. 😂 With only 5 days to go, a pivot from smears to an unspecified "vision" is like George Bush discovering "the vision thing". 😂🤣
