@imnotafeline you're right it doesn't. To me it's the fact that there's no actual evidence, only wild speculation that negates that conclusion. Not saying it's impossible, but tomorrow is 4 years to the day since the IBM announcement and there hasn't been a single leaked memo or email by a current or ex Red Hat employee showing any IBM meddling. On the contrary there are countless examples of #redhatters saying the opposite.

As much as I appreciate #redhat and #redhatters I do strongly agree that the limitations on the $349/year self support server option are... bollocks. It wasn't always like that.
Only suitable for dev / test, but cannot be used as a virtual machine? What? Who's running their dev and test servers on bare metal in 2023?! 🤦♂️
CentOS Stream is now a good option instead I guess but pretty sure this would've pushed at least some to use a rebuild 🤔

Just watched yet another youtube video from someone with a large following... about how #redhat "is unethical", "going closed source" and "abandoning the community" etc
My Garmin watch vibrated a minute later and told me "you seem stressed consider taking a moment to relax" 😔
Once again, if I feel like this I can't imagine what #redhatters are going through.

@mairin @aeva It's so saddening to see and not okay 😔 I hate seeing the behaviour of so many whenever this happens.
Some of us really appreciate #redhat and the #redhatters and all you do.
I personally appreciate the work you did YEARS ago to get the RH iconset's made public! I had grand ideas about using them in beautiful diagrams and presentations but well, I'm not doing that many at work but one day! 🫶🏻

@evasb there's been some good blog posts by #redhatters and former redhatters I've read over the weekend that make the point more succinctly than #redhat themselves has.

@cameronbosch I see lot's of people saying that. I don't see anything I'd consider evidence to back it up though.
On the other hand what I do see is actual #redhatters that have been there both before and since IBM saying "nah it really hasn't changed how we operate".
#correlation != #causation ?

Selon le PDG de #RedHat les licenciements sont une chose saine qu'il faut faire de temps en temps.
C'est un manque de respect flagrant à l'égard des #redhatters récemment licenciés non pas pour des raisons économiques ou stratégiques mais à cause de l'incompétence et de la cupidité des dirigeants de RedHat
Virer les patrons est une chose saine qu'il faut faire de temps en temps.

L'ensemble des syndicats à #RedHat en France se prononce contre les licenciements et soutient notre appel aux #redhatters à se syndiquer. C'est une excellente nouvelle 👏
