💔 The Red Badge of Courage 🩸
It was a year ago that my brother passed away and I'm honoring his memory by reading this novel by Stephen Crane. When we were young my brother was a bit obsessed by the Civil War. Our family would visit the war sites constantly on our family trips. He dressed as a Union Soldier for Halloween and we would often play 'Civil War Games' in our back yard. Playing with my brother was always combined with little history lessons! I recall reading the Classics Illustrated comicbook version of this book with my brother (he probably read it TO me) but I have never read the book.
