#RapidTO bus lane on Dufferin makes me so happy when it works. I just cut a full 10 minutes off my commute. Love it.

After a long fight with the flu in my household, this is my first time commuting on Dufferin since before the red paint RapidTO lanes. I forgot to pay attention to how traffic was flowing and holy crap I’m already at King street?!

Flat out disagree with Stephen Holyday's remark! CongestionTO is the car infested status quo he had been pushing to maintain at all costs over the years! The only way to fight gridlock is FEWER CARS and the #RapidTO proposal for Dufferin and Bathurst is a step in the right direction. #TTC #TOpoli

Marco Santaguida was one of the few people to oppose #RapidTO at committee this week (despite inaccurate "both sides" press coverage, almost all the speakers were strongly in favor of transit). Whenever I go by, Santaguida has three vehicles stored in city land on the side street. Not enough!

For those of you wonder what's happening with the "Protect Dufferin" astroturf campaign against the #TTC #RapidTO lanes there, they haven't posted anything on their Facebook page since May 11 and already locked their posts. The only one that allows commenting is the one they used for ads. #TOpoli

Sadly, it's not just the Dufferin #RapidTO project opponents are organizing against. Another petition on Change dot org called "Oppose RapidTO Project on Bathurst" was started recently. Please fill out the surveys at www.toronto.ca/rapidto by Monday, May 26 to support both projects. #TTC #TOpoli

That #RapidTO meeting last night was so disappointing. We have a real opportunity to get one of the busiest transit routes in the city moving and it's just a chorus of crypt keepers frothing at the mouth angry about not being able to park their car on a major thoroughfare. Lots of people shocked to discover there isn't currently any overnight parking on Dufferin.

Honestly, the plan should go even further than it does, and ban all private vehicles entirely.
