What if there just are a whole lot more of them than there are of us?

Why do companies and drugs have stupid names, but computer exploits have cool names?

It seems like"fuck" takes on a whole different feeling and meaning if you drag out the syllable.
Like "fuuuuuuck".

I donated my high level account for a game I was quitting to a gamer friend and I got irrationally overexcited to see how happy it made them. Is that a weird or exaggerated feeling for me to have? 😆

It eventually dawned on me that crossword puzzles are mostly based on bad puns that aren't very funny.
I think they should be funnier. 🤪
Also, I love crossword puzzles—pretty much all puzzles, really.

How do you know if a "New Guinea pig" is (1) a Guinea pig that is new or (2) a pig from New Guinea, when it's spoken out loud?

England...
Wes Streeting...
If he became PM, can you trust him not to privatise/americanise your NHS?...
can you trust him not to make swinging benefit cuts?...
can you trust him?...
#Labour... #westminstermadness ...

Looks like the establishment are looking at Zac Polanski for arrears of council tax apparently when he stayed on a houseboat ...
maybe the time & effort would be better spent hounding Farage about the £5 million bung...

I wonder if there are many Autistic attorneys. Most of us are pretty good at being ultra precise with wording. But most of us have very strong sense of morality. Those two things might be at odds regarding being a lawyer?

A Greek Yoghurt called... FAGE... as printed on the tub...
Apparently it's pronounced... FAH-yeh...
so, why not just print FAH-yeh on the tubs and save a fortune on advertising...
simples... 🙃

If #Starmer does not resign, the Labour party will tear itself apart...
Irrespective which #westminster party is in power, they do not work for people in Wales, Scotland or Northern Ireland...
-
I think that #reform councils will fail miserably...

I kind of want to lug a small boulder to the park and when anyone asks, tell them it's my pet rock.

I'm not aware of any computer coding languages that use the full extended set of characters in the actual code (keywords, etc). I suppose there is no reason a language couldn't be created with keywords or operators that use special glyphs like em dashes, vowels with diacritics, even emoji. I wonder if there would be any benefit to using all the available extra characters to define the language.

It's interesting that it has always been called "writing" even if you're typing, even if what you're composing is code rather than verbal language.
I guess it's no different than continuing to call it "dialing" a phone number.

I'm curious… what would ever lead a farm girl, a professor, a movie star, and a couple oligarchs to be on the same small boat for a three hour tour in the first place?

If your Scotch isn't made in Scotland, why is it still called Scotch?

I'm curious… the difference between a writer and an author?
There is one versus there isn't.

Is it weird that my idea of "young" heart throbs is actresses in their 40s? When did I get so old?

If phasers (Trek) or laser cannons (Wars) are just coherent light intense enough to do damage, why can you see them in the vacuum of space? Wouldn't they be invisible until they hit something like dust, debris, or ships?

Another thing I never got about Star Trek…
If the bridge has view screens but no actual windows, why put it on top of the saucer, in a vulnerable position? Why not locate deep within the core of the ship where it's arguably more protected?

How come car manufacturers in measure acceleration as the time it takes to reach a certain velocity instead of the distance it takes to reach that velocity? It seems like it would be sort of useful to know if it took a car a full mile to reach the set speed limit.
Instead of 0 to 60 in how ever many seconds, (or maybe in addition to) tell me how far do I have to go before I reach 60.
I can't exactly work it out with pen and paper while driving. 🤪

A thing I was wondering in the shower…
Our solar system basically follows the Sun as it orbits the galactic core on a trajectory nearly perpendicular to the orbital plane of the bodies in said solar system.
Does our solar system leave a trail of particles or other mass that doesn't quite keep up with the Sun as it orbits—kind of similar to a comment trail?

A thing I never got about Star Trek…
If they have inertial dampeners and artificial gravity such that the ship occupants don't even feel it when the ship accelerates to relativistic speeds, how come mere light from phaser beams rocks the entire ship like a Richter 6+ earthquake?

At the next #Scottish elections I will vote 1 #SNP... 2 #SGP..
Are the perfect NO...
Have they gained #independence... not yet...
But I believe they have the best chance of achieving #independence...
Have they done more for #Scotland than any of the #westminster parties...YES...
I liken it to a fan following a football team...
Good results or bad results you still tend to support your team/s...
