I remember buying it years ago, as a then-friend recommended it to me. I can't really remember the game... I have no idea if it would run on my win11 rig... But I still have the game, in the box and all the contents... So I wanted to share the picture with you here. 😊

I made the mistake of attempting to read Rama II.

I remember liking the original Rama novel. I gave it some grace because it's a Big Dumb Space Object novel despite being written by Clarke who I think we can all agree is objectively not very good at the craft.

But Rama II, boy, what an interminable slog full of just oddly-conceived stereotype characters. Takes a quarter of the book to just get off earth. Too much (bad) dialogue. Yuck.

@rower Nie chce mi się wychodzić na rower w tym mrozie, więc zajmuję się the next best thing, czyli przeglądam oferty graveli, takich bardziej nadających się do bikepackingu.

Od jakieś czasu mam już mniej więcej określone oczekiwania:
- europejski producent
- aluminiowa rama z mocowaniami na sakwy na widelcu, a może też pod bagażnik z tyłu
- napęd 2x, najchętniej Shimano GRX
- hamulce hydrauliczne
- opony o szerokości co najmniej 45C, mile widziana możliwość wsadzenia 50C.

I tak sobie klikam, czytam, oglądam, porównuję, wrzucam najciekawsze do arkusza i nagle mnie olśniło: a może by tak stal? Przecież zawsze mi się podobały eleganckie, stalowe ramy, z rurami cieńszymi niż te w aluminiowych.

Mój Trek z ~1994 z ramą Cro-Moly ciągle jest na chodzie, mimo wieku ciągle wozi pełne sakwy zakupów, niezależnie od pory roku i pogody. Taki materiał powinien się idealnie nadawać na rower wyprawowy.

Teraz muszę wrócić na wszystkie przejrzane już strony, żeby sprawdzić, czy nie zignorowałem fajnych rowerów, tylko dlatego że nie były z aluminium.
