I’m doing the Apple News #Quartiles puzzle, there’s an interesting pair of words, amatory and defamatory. At first glance they look similar and one might think they were close in meaning, i.e., the latter is a modified version of the former, signaled by “def”. But they’re not. The images show definitions from the OED. Does that seem weird/cool to you? Do you know of another similar pair of words? Or maybe a third to these 2? Is there a name for that?

Asked to help debug an online maths question about #BoxPlots, and learnt there are conflicting interpretations of the 1st and 3rd #quartiles which matter with small datasets like teaching examples!
