“Common denominators are always there, no matter the style or tradition. If you put on the radio, what makes you move your head or tap your foot to what you hear? I feel those are the elements that we can all connect to. Since I was a kid, I have been fascinated with that idea. I think instinctual elements, groove, and rhythm are all very embedded in all of us. I call those elements common denominators from all styles of music, and they can bridge any gap. They are what make us react to music regardless of the style. I often try to find those elements that could connect all different styles and put them all together into one piece.”- Patricia Brennan
