La imaginaria del proyecto Diamandis es única, ergo es reconocible. El sueño húmedo de cualquier creadora, dejar su perfume en su obra.
Reconocible en el modo en que se presenta, desenvuelve y opera más que en los elementos usados, que a la postre son las mismas herramientas de que disponen la mayoría de artistas. Ese es su éxito.
Curiosamente el éxito que provoca que la masa se le escape. Gracias/Debido a su impronta Marina es una artista poco apta para las grandes playlists.
Princess of Power viene presentado por tres sencillos escogidos excelentemente: son lo mejor del LP. Incluyo Cupid’s Girl, de la que hablé tibiamente semanas atrás (escuchada con el conjunto gana). Los otros eran Butterfly y Cuntissimo, ambos derrochones, recargados, coquetos. Dejo enlace.
La industria -y el público- es injusta: con Cuntissimo no ha pasado nada, el video oficial apenas intenta rozar los 4M de visualizaciones en youtube. Una tropelía.
El corte homónimo abre el disco y suena muy bien en esa posición, descriptivo de lo que vamos a hallar. Parecido ocurre con Rollercoaster, esta más lírica, con arreglos girl group.
Sube el nivel el último single. I﹤3 YOU parece mirarse en Jessie Ware pero también en Tove Lo para edificar esta pista de baile retro que no renuncia a lo electro ni a las campanitas, a ser dulce sin empalagar.
Un poso de banda sonora se entrevé en Metallic Stallion, que marca la acción cuando su base percute. Otra sorpresa puntera es una de las baladas. Desde la simpleza -apenas tiene estribillo-, Adult Girl conmueve con una de esas letras que te acompañan y parecen escritas para ti.
Se echa en falta más osadía en la 'alatinada' Digital Fantasy, otra buena canción por detrás de los singles. Y el resto de temas, detrás de este.
