#Posterous had the same kind of "post by email" way, way back in the day as well. I wish more services would use the feature.

Who remembers Posterous? I really liked that platform, and when @ghost is up and running with ActivityPub I can see how it's going to offer all that, and more.

Then in 2009 with #posterous, a #Tumblr competitor, and an #iphone, you could email #GoogleMaps locations, photos, video, text, voice etc to your account and they'd be autoformatted into posts, essentially #LiveBlogging my #investigation from the field with #geolocations and #RichMedia.
